Some users may run into an issue where their antivirus or firewall software may intercept EAC's functions and prevent the player from booting the title or entering Marova. To fix this, you'll need to add EAC to the software's allowlist.
Step 1: Locate Reaper Actual's EAC executable
Standalone Web3 Version
If you're playing on the standalone launcher, you can see where the game is installed by visiting the cogwheel icon in the top right.
Take note of your Game Dowload Location path & navigate to that area via File Explorer.
Note: Clicking the folder on this screen allows you to move the directory, but it will not show you the necessary .exe. Open a new window of File Explorer to properly continue.- Click into the folder within the Reaper Actual folder to view its contents, and identify start_protected_game.exe with the EAC blue bear icon. This is the program you will need to allowlist!
Epic Games Store Version
Within your Epic Games library, find Reaper Actual & click on the ellipsis (...) next to the cover. From there, click on Manage.
From the submenu, click on the Folder icon in the Installation section. This will open File Explorer to Reaper Actual's install location.
- Within this folder, there will be two ReaperActualClient executables, with the one that needs to be allowlisted having the blue bear EAC logo.
Step 2: Adding Reaper Actual's EAC to an Allowlist
Antivirus Software
- Open your Antivirus software and navigate to its Settings menu.
- Look for an option titled "Configure Allowlist", "Add Exceptions", or "Allow App".
- When prompted, browse back to the install location you discovered above and select that executable.
Windows Firewall
- Open Settings on your Windows and navigate to Privacy & Security.
- Click on Windows Security, and then Firewall & network protection to open a seperate window.
- Click on the “Allow an app through firewall" option below your firewall statuses to see a list of your allowed apps. If the above executable is not listed, click on “Change settings”,
- Click on “Allow another app…” and navigate to the executable found above to add to the list.
- Once added, make sure to check both the “Private” and “Public” boxes next to it before saving changes and exiting.
